11/18/09 Lawsuit Update
Unfortunately our case has been removed from the trial list.
Attorneys for Axis Insurance filed several motions which we were hopeful would either be dismissed or resolved by Judge Rosman,
but he refused to hear them on November 2nd. We are hopeful that we will be restored to the trial list shortly and will keep all advised.
11/06/09 H1N1 Virus Preparedness
We will be following the guidelines of the American Hotel and Lodging
Association with staff training this week and next. For anyone interested here is the link to their guidelines:

10/22/09 RCI Class Action Update:
If you are or were a member of RCI you may be eligible to participate in the
settlement of a Class Action lawsuit which has been filed against RCI. The settlement details are subject to court approval but offer
several interesting options. Your choosing to participate will not effect your RCI membership except as per the terms of the settlement
option that you choose. And, you need not be a dissatisfied customer to participate!
The link to the details of this lawsuit and the form you must complete to
select your settlement option and to be a part of the class is www.weeksprogramsettlement.com.
Also note that there is a separate list of names of owners who were unable to use their exchange week. If you are on that list you are
entitled to a separate benefit.
CBC Yahoo Group:
A CBC Yahoo group has been created for the use of all CBC Unit owners.
This electronic discussion group was created in response to your interests in having a forum where you could have the ability
to communicate with each other about anything and everything CBC related.
To use the group you must become a Yahoo group member.
Use the web site link below for further information:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CaribbeanBeachClub/
The group does not have any official affiliation or relationship with CBC.
Our CBC website, http://caribbeanbeachclub.net, is the official CBC website and will include official announcements, meeting
agendas/minutes and any other official announcements.
Older Announcements:
We can no longer take a note or e-mail that you
want to put your unit up for rent. It appears that the IRS has taken an
interest in our rentals. Therefore any time you want to put a week up for rent
thru VRI you will need to fill out a new rental agreement and a new W-9 for the IRS. We will
be glad to send you the forms if you call the office. If you have any questions about this, please call Ed O'Connor our General Manager.
